Who We Are

About Us

East Harlem Fellowship (EHF) began as a coffee house in 1998 with the goal of befriending the community and sharing the love of God. Over the years, it met in different venues from parks to school auditoriums throughout the neighborhood. Today, EHF is a nondenominational congregation where people from all ethnic, social and economic backgrounds come to find hope, forgiveness and love in the good news of Jesus Christ.

Our Home

We come together at Lex Hill — our name for our intimate storefront space in East Harlem. We are perched atop the hill on Lexington Avenue between 102nd and 103rd streets. More than a neighborhood spot, we aim to be a welcoming room — a space where community and faith gather every week to usher and accompany visitors into the presence of God.

Our Mission

To share the good news that Jesus has made a way for all to know God through a personal love relationship with him. We believe in coming alongside those who seek this truth as we walk this life-transforming journey.

What We Stand On

Our Beliefs

God the Father
There is one God. We believe in the God of the Bible as He reveals Himself through scripture and the Holy Spirit. He is perfect, unchanging, eternal and holy. His love and desire for all to be saved is proven by sending Jesus Christ.
Jesus
We believe Jesus is the only begotten Son of God — fully divine and fully human. He died on the cross to pay the debt of our sin, rose again in victory over death, and now sits at God’s right hand interceding for us as King of kings.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Trinity, sent by Jesus to guide believers into truth, convict the world of sin, and empower us to live out God’s plan — distributing spiritual gifts according to His will.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is eternally true and relevant. It is the 66-book canon of the Old and New Testaments, written by God through human hands, and is authoritative in every area of life.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift — not earned, but accepted by faith in Jesus Christ. It transforms our hearts and minds, grants us citizenship in God’s Kingdom, and makes heaven our eternal home.
Humankind
We believe humankind was created by God in His image. Because of our fallen nature, we are separated from God — but through faith in Jesus, who paid for our sins, we can be fully restored.
Marriage
Marriage is God-ordained as a lifelong, faithful union between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23–30).
